(Senior) Account Director

Job Description

Venator Broadcast are working with a giant in the online video industry, a company whose cloud-based SAAS online video platform is used by Media companies and by publishers, brands and marketers to deliver their customers and prospective customers the very best video experience.

We are currently seeking a (Senior) Account Director to join the Singapore team and take responsibility for a number or large complex accounts, as well as smaller, but no less important one/! This position has arisen in the wake of another successful year through 2017, wherein the company has further established itself as the preferred online video platform for media companies across the region, able to deliver feature-rich SAAS solutions to satisfy the most demanding customer requirements.

The Account Director must be motivated, extremely organised, team-oriented, creative, and possess outstanding communication skills. The role consists of managing existing customers with a focus on creating sales opportunities for add-ons and upgrades. A key aspect of this role is being able to proactively navigate within the accounts and to identify account growth opportunities. The environment is focused on providing a premium service with high expectations internally and from customers.

Responsibilities

o Manage the on-boarding of new customers
o Develop an in-depth understanding of the customer's business, challenges and requirements, and explain
how the platform could benefit them
o Build relationships with key stakeholders to encourage new and repeat business
o Work with the customer's senior leadership to ensure needs are met. Interact both internally with the product
team and professional services, as well as externally with customers
o Negotiate contract renewals and up-sell

Qualifications and skills
o Experience in the Media, IT or Digital advertising industries
o A self-starter with the ability to self-train and initiate activities
o Excellent presentation and communication skills
o An ability to listen to customer needs, assess these needs effectively and address them through new products
and services
o Demonstrated ability to multi-task across a wide range of accounts
o Demonstrated ability to present to technical and non-technical audiences and be able to handle objections on
the fly
o Proven ability to operate effectively in a fast-paced, entrepreneurial young company in which cross-
functional teamwork and initiative is a must
o Knowledge of cloud technology and software-as-a-service is a must
o Familiarity with HTML, CSS and JavaScript is a plus
o Familiarity working with APIs and SDKs is a plus

Many of the company's accounts in the region are Media accounts, i.e. content owners, media companies and broadcast networks whom have an OTT service powered by our client, a familiarity with the fast-paced, demanding nature of this client base will be highly advantageous.
